What we collect

Almost everything Cover The Board shows lives on your phone. If you create an account (email sign-in), we store: your email address; your cloud backup (tracked bets, custom models, graded records, snapshots, layouts); and a profile summary (display name, handle, favorite teams and players, linked social handles you choose to add, experience setting, visit streak, bet and model counts, platform). We do not collect your contacts, location, or photos, and we never see a password because there isn't one. If you join the launch waitlist on this site, we store the email address you submit, for launch announcements only.

How we use it

Your backup exists so your data survives reinstalls and moves between phones. Only you can read it. Profile summaries are used in aggregate (for example, which teams our users follow most) to decide what to build next and to personalize the app. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Where it lives

Account data is stored with Supabase (our database provider) in the United States, protected by row-level security: your row is readable by your account only. Sign-in emails are delivered via Resend from covertheboard.com.

Sports data

Scores, odds, weather, and stats come from third-party feeds (league stats APIs, The Odds API, Open-Meteo). Requests to those services are not tied to your identity by us.

Your controls

You can use the entire app without an account. Signed in, you can back up, restore, or sign out any time. Delete account (Profile, then Account) permanently erases your account, backup, and profile summary from our servers. Data on your phone is yours; deleting the app removes it. To leave the waitlist, email us and we will remove your address.
